Autocamp Žíchovec is in South Bohemia, behind the village of Strunkovice nad Blanicí, right next to the Prachatice–Vodňany road No. 141, in a picturesque setting by the Blanice River. This location on the edge of the Šumava Mountains offers ideal conditions for lovers of nature and peaceful relaxation.
The site is open from May to September. The campsite is also close to the bus and train station, shops and tennis courts in Strunkovice nad Blanicí. At the airport in Strunkovice, it is even possible to book a sightseeing flight or try a tandem skydive for adrenaline enthusiasts.

Boubínský forest
Boubínský forest is a unique hotel in the heart of the Bohemian Forest. Some of the trees here are up to 400 years, but the forest itself is older than the human race. Previously, the forest actually everywhere, but man felled forests and again osazoval from the original European forests that have not been affected by human activities, leaving only islands. Today they are protected by the strictest laws.
Plešné Lake and Pošumavská Lokálka
From ATC Žíchovec, turn left along road no. 141 through Prachchatice to Volary. In Volary, head towards Horní Plana along road no. 39. At the train station, you can take the Pošumava local train and go, for example, to Nové Údolí and back (or walk to Haidmülle). After returning to Nová Pec, take the train and head towards Nové Chalupy, about 3 km from Nová Pec. Here you can park your car and walk along the marked trails. to Plešné Lake.

We chose the Žíchovec campsite for a peaceful stay with a caravan on the edge of Šumava, a short distance from Strunkovice. The location by the Blanice River is ideal for those looking for peace, quiet and a bit of nature without the crowds.
The caravan pitches are well designed - flat, spacious and with convenient access to electricity and water. The campsite feels well maintained, absolutely quiet at night, no noisy parties - exactly what we wanted.
Great for our dog – the area is spacious, several trails lead directly from the campsite along the river and into the slightly undulating surroundings, which already smell good. through the Šumava forests. Morning walk in complete silence, great.
The bathrooms are fine - clean, showers are paid for with tokens, but there is always hot water. The staff is nice, no arrogance, on the contrary, they try to be accommodating.
🔸 The only minus: The caravan section lacks a permanent shelter or covered seating area, which would be useful if it rains. We made do with our own gazebo.
👉 Overall I rate 4 out of 5 stars – an ideal campsite for a peaceful stay with a caravan and a four-legged friend. The surroundings are beautiful, without tourist pressure. We will be happy to return. 🌲🙂
We arrived in Žíchovec with a caravan and our dog Bára. The place is pleasantly quiet, without unnecessary distractions - no noise from discos, simply ideal for a relaxing break. 👍 You will find plenty of space and shade in the campsite, which we appreciated especially because of the dog. Possibility of swimming in river (Blanice) and nice walks around the area will please both four-legged friends and gentlemen. 🚐🐾 The toilets are clean, the water is warm, the electricity was fine. We will definitely be happy to come back here - mainly because of the stress-free atmosphere and the nice attitude of the staff. This campsite is simply our favorite in South Bohemia...
We were at the Žíchovec Campsite this weekend – two adults, two children and our dog Max. The campsite is in a beautiful and, above all, peaceful environment, an ideal base for trips in South Bohemia. A big plus is that the dog could be with us everywhere – even in the pond, no one bothered him, which I appreciate. The kids had fun on the playground, we had a barbecue in the evening and it was quiet in the morning, no night parties. The only minor complaint – there was only lukewarm water in the showers, but otherwise it was fine. We would love to come again, mainly because of the coolness 🐶🌲😊
